Cormo is a sheep breed developed in Tasmania in the 1960s. It is from crossing the Corriedale sheep with the Saxon Merino. This breed has declined in production slightly in the decades and is much more popular in the United States than in Australia or New Zealand at the moment.
This fibre is classed as a fine fibre with a micron count approx 20-24. It is super soft for spinning and felting. It also takes dye easily.
