Kaalund Yarns' Alpaca Art is made of 100% superfine Australian alpaca wool which is sourced along the eastern seaboard of Australia and processed entirely in a family-run fibre mill on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. This alpaca yarn is soft enough to be worn next to the skin.

This is a super bulky weight yarn designed to create quick, one-of-a-kind scarves, cowls and shawls. Some colours in the range have been designed to crate spectacular visual effects when knitted and others have gradual changes.

The fleece is hand dyed using the slow, traditional technique of kettle dyeing before being spun. This creates a multi-coloured yarn with interesting colour combinations.

The Alpaca Art yarn has slub spinning features which when knitted appear on the surface of the fabric. The yarn varies between a lofty look and a tighter twist. Each hank is truly unique.
